Bring your Commonwealth procurement and TechOne experience to a hands-on APS6 contract
Your new company An opportunity exists for an experienced APS6 Senior Procurement Officer to join a Commonwealth Government agency supporting the delivery of high-value procurement activities across facilities management, maintenance and construction contracts.
This role is suited to a procurement practitioner who enjoys leading end-to-end procurement processes and delivering outcomes. It is a hands-on procurement role focused on establishing contracts, running RFQs, evaluating responses and managing procurement activities through Commonwealth procurement frameworks and Whole of Government panels. This is not a procurement advisory or policy-focused position.
Your new role
As the APS6 Senior Procurement Officer, you will lead procurement activities that support critical facilities, maintenance, and construction programs. Working closely with operational stakeholders, you will manage procurement processes from planning through to contract establishment while ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and relevant government frameworks.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading end-to-end procurement activities across facilities management, maintenance, and construction categories
- Developing procurement documentation, RFQs, evaluation plans, and procurement reports
- Conducting procurement processes through Whole of Government (WoG) panels and approved procurement arrangements
- Managing tender evaluations and supplier engagement processes
- Establishing and executing contracts in accordance with Commonwealth procurement requirements
- Providing procurement guidance to internal stakeholders throughout the procurement lifecycle
- Ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and internal governance requirements
- Managing procurement records and reporting within TechnologyOne (TechOne)
- Building strong relationships with business areas, suppliers, and key stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience working within a Commonwealth Government procurement environment
- Strong experience leading procurement processes for facilities management, maintenance, construction, asset, or property-related contracts
- Demonstrated experience conducting RFQs and procurement activities through Whole of Government panels and Commonwealth procurement arrangements
- Proven capability establishing and managing government contracts from commencement through execution
- Experience using TechnologyOne (TechOne) for procurement, contracts or financial management activities
- Solid knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs)
