The Prospect

Our ICT Security Capability team is responsible for designing and evolving the organisation's future security architecture, delivering the transition from traditional on-premises environments to modern, cloud-enabled and hybrid security platforms while maintaining the resilience and security of critical operational services. The team manages a diverse portfolio encompassing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR), Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), continuous assurance, protective monitoring, and the physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure that supports these services. Operating in a rapidly evolving threat and technology landscape, the team is focused not only on maintaining secure and resilient security services for today, but also on shaping and delivering the capabilities required for tomorrow.

We are seeking experienced technical leaders to help drive the evolution of the organisation's security technology ecosystem through cloud adoption, hybrid architecture design and the implementation of contemporary security solutions. These roles provide a unique opportunity to influence the strategic direction of enterprise security capabilities, balancing innovation and transformation with the ongoing management of critical on-premises infrastructure and operational services.

EL1 Assistant Technical Director:

The EL1 Assistant Technical Director will provide technical leadership and solution architecture guidance to multidisciplinary teams responsible for designing, delivering and enhancing complex security capabilities, with a focus on capability uplift, integration, automation and continuous improvement.

EL2 Technical Director:

The EL2 Technical Director will provide strategic leadership through the development of technology roadmaps, architecture principles, governance frameworks and investment priorities that enable the transition to scalable, secure and resilient hybrid environments.

Both roles require forward-thinking leaders who can align technology outcomes with organisational objectives, manage technical complexity, foster innovation and guide the delivery of modern security capabilities that enable the organisation to effectively respond to current and emerging threats.

The EL2 Technical Director is a Canberra based role only.
