About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team at La Piazza.
This is an outstanding opportunity to take on a key management role within a flagship, high-volume venue. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will lead from the front, inspire a large service team, and help drive operational excellence across restaurant and function operations.
You will play a critical role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring the smooth and efficient running of one of Sydney's most successful casual dining venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and motivate a large front-of-house team to deliver exceptional service every shift
- Drive service excellence in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant and function setting
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring presentation, service and compliance standards are consistently achieved
- Manage the guest journey from reservations through to service delivery
- Support rostering, labour management and operational efficiencies
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar teams to deliver seamless service
- Monitor performance and contribute to achieving revenue and operational targets
- Foster a positive, high-performing team culture focused on accountability and development
- Maintain strong standards across RSA, RCG, WHS and venue compliance requirements
About You
You are a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in busy, service-driven environments and enjoys managing large teams while delivering outstanding guest experiences.
To be successful, you will have:
- 2-3 years' experience in an Assistant Manager, Supervisor or similar leadership role
- Proven success leading teams in a high-volume restaurant, hospitality or premium casual dining environment
- A strong floor presence with a hands-on leadership approach
- Experience managing large guest numbers and multi-faceted service operations
- Strong food and beverage knowledge, including bar operations
- Demonstrated ability to train, coach and develop team members
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
- A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and peak trading periods
- Current RSA & RCG (or willingness to obtain)
