An opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a leading engineering and construction business, supporting financial reporting, compliance and month-end accounting activities within a dynamic project environment. This role offers broad exposure across financial operations, statutory reporting, process improvement and business partnering while contributing to the ongoing success of a large, complex organisation.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow statements and reconciliations.
n
- Manage month-end processes, fixed assets, capital expenditure reporting and general ledger integrity.
n
- Support external audits, statutory reporting, BAS, FBT and other compliance obligations.
n
- Maintain AASB 16 lease accounting and assist with internal financial controls and system improvements.
n
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, Board reporting and financial analysis.
n
- Support projects with financial reporting, tender submissions,



insurance renewals and corporate cost allocations.
n
- Maintain daily cash reporting, bank reconciliations and payment processing.
n
- Work collaboratively with the parent company and internal stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely financial information.
n
- Promote continuous improvement, support finance systems and contribute to a positive team culture.
n
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards and Decmil's values.

Skills & Experience nn
- Degree qualified in Accounting or Commerce.
n
- CA or CPA qualified.
n
- Minimum 5 years' accounting experience within a large commercial organisation.
n
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, Australian accounting standards and financial reporting.
n
- Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
n
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage competing priorities in a team-oriented team environment.
