Boilermaker / Sheet Metal Worker — multiple positions available

Aletek is an Australian-owned, family-run manufacturer building exhaust systems, thermal insulation blankets, diesel particulate filters and acoustic systems for the mining, oil & gas, marine and rail industries. Our gear goes onto tier-one equipment across Australia, Asia, the Americas and Africa. We're growing, and we need good tradespeople on the tools to grow with us.

What you'll be doing

- Fabricating and assembling components from mild and stainless steel — from drawings through to finished product

- MIG and TIG welding to spec, with quality you'd be happy to put your name on

- Sheet metal work: marking out, cutting, folding, rolling and forming (guillotine, press brake, plasma/laser)

- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and job packs accurately

- Checking your own work against tolerances and quality standards before it moves down the line

- Working with the Quality, Production and Engineering teams to sort issues at the source

- Contributing to continuous improvement — better jigs, better setups, less rework

What we're looking for

- Trade qualification in boilermaking,



fabrication or sheet metal (Cert III)

- A continuous improvement mindset — you don't accept "that's how we've always done it," you look for the better way and you speak up when you find it

- Confident MIG and/or TIG welding; stainless experience is highly regarded

- Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances

- Strong safety awareness — you look after yourself and the bloke next to you
- A team-first attitude: pick up the phone, ask the question, get it sorted
