About the Company

They're a trusted distributer of bearings, power transmission products, seals, drives and industrial MRO consumables to WA's mining, resources, manufacturing and heavy industry sectors. Part of a large global group, they combine multinational scale, systems and supplier relationships with the feel of a tight knit local branch.

The Perth branch is one of their highest volume operations nationally, dealing in the heavy duty, high value end of the WA industrial market.

There is real operational pressure currently, with the branch carrying internal vacancies and a recent ERP platform still bedding in. That said, the support is substantial. The technical depth inside the branch is rare, with several people carrying decades in this industry and a long serving operations manager assisting with the internal team day to day.

You'll also benefit from an extended handover (6+ months, if needed), with access to the incumbent who's moving to another role in the business nationally.





The Impact You'll Make

You'll lead all branch activity across sales, customer service, people and operations, with a team spanning internal sales and warehouse. Branch-based, the sales effort is largely internal and reactive, so your focus is how enquiries, quotes and orders are handled and how customers are looked after when things get tight. You'll also own branch pricing, cost control and performance reporting to the State Manager.

This is a lead by example role. You'll be across everything and hands on when it counts. People leadership is the priority: building the team, holding experienced staff to account, and making the hard calls when they need making. You'll be supported through a detailed handover, with genuine flexibility on start and finish times.

The Experience You'll Bring

- 3+ years' branch and people leadership experience in bearings and power transmission, or closely adjacent industrial MRO distribution.
