Your Opportunity

In this role as a Built Environment Officer, you will be supporting the efficient and effective operation of the Built Setting Team by providing administration assistance in building, plumbing and drainage applications and the implementation of procedures and relevant legislation, and undertaking preliminary assessment of building, plumbing and drainage applications to determine if “properly made” in accordance with relevant legislation, including issuing of notices. STATUS: Permanent, Full-time

HOURS OF WORK: 72.5 hours per fortnight | 9-day fortnight

PAY LEVEL: $2,866.59 - $3,334.61 per fortnight (Level 2 -3). Plus 12% Superannuation and 17.5% Annual Leave Loading in accordance with Council’s Enterprise Agreement and the relevant Award. Pay rate dependant on relevant skills and experience.

EMPLOYMENT BASE: Warwick OR Stanthorpe, Queensland (will be negotiated with successful candidate)

To be considered for this role, you will need:

- Legal right to live and work in Australia
- A Class C (car) licence or greater is required in this role.
- An Occupational Health & Safety Construction Induction Card (White Card), or the ability to obtain.
- Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of development assessment processes, following documented processes and administrative tasks.
- Ability to effectively interpret and apply legislation to achieve outcomes.
- Highly skilled in using computers and a wide range of software and online tools to support efficient and effective work.
