About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Case Manager with our Positive Start Parenting program in Bundaberg. This is a full-time fix term role ending 30 June 2027. The role is to provide individual support and case management services, within the team to deliver an early intervention and prevention service aimed at improving child and family development and wellbeing; and to support the capacity of those in a parenting role.

Key responsibilities

- Support families, children and young people to strengthen relationships, improve wellbeing,



increase community participation, and build family capacity.

- Develop and implement individual support plans, helping clients identify goals and achieve positive outcomes for themselves and their families.

- Promote positive parenting and family wellbeing through education, role modelling, and practical support in both individual and group settings.

- Provide advocacy, referrals, and access to resources that connect families with appropriate services and support networks.

- Plan and deliver parenting and life skills programs that support child development, family resilience, and improved family outcomes.

- Build and maintain stakeholder networks with family, youth, parenting, and community service providers to enhance service delivery.

- Ensure child safety and compliance, including identifying and reporting child protection concerns and adhering to relevant legislation, standards, and organisational procedures.

- Maintain accurate records and confidentiality, including client information management, contractual requirements, and community engagement activities.

To succeed in this role, you will

- Qualification in Early Childhood, Mental Health, Certificate IV Community Services or other relevant qualification (highly desirable)

- Relevant experience working with parents and children.





- Ability to apply strength-based, holistic and culturally appropriate approaches to engage families effectively and achieving positive outcomes.

Knowledge of
- Child development and child protection issues or willingness to undertake training as deemed necessary

- Stresses on vulnerable families and the range of family risk and protective factors which impact on child outcomes

- Trauma-informed practice when early intervention as a strategy to optimise child outcomes

Demonstrated ability to
- Think and act calmly while dealing sensitively with distress and/or unpredictable behaviour

- Apply and role model effective parenting and behaviour management techniques.

- Work independently or in a group setting and collaborate with stakeholders both internally and externally
