GHD’s Mobility Solutions team in South Queensland is growing, and we are seeking a Traffic Engineer / Modeller to join our high‑performing team.

n

This varied position will see you involved in:

n

- n

Multi-disciplinary city-shaping transport projects

n
- Managing and delivering a range of traffic and transport engineering projects and tasks
n
- Preparing high-quality technical work, reports and proposals for our clients
n
- Collaborating with your team as well as colleagues across the region and business
n
- The continual development of both GHD’s and your own transport engineering capability working with the team to collaboratively identify innovative solutions for our clients
n
- Mentoring and coaching of junior team members
n

What you will bring to the team:

n

n
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with demonstrated experience in traffic engineering with typically 6+ years’ experience and working towards chartership. RPEQ accreditation is an advantage
n
- Proven experience in delivering traffic and transport engineering projects and robust technical knowledge of relevant design practices, guidelines and standards and their application
n




- Demonstrated experience in developing Traffic Impact Assessments for complex developments, masterplans in accordance with the Guide to Traffic Impact Assessments by Department of Transport and Main Roads.

- Knowledge of transport modelling software packages such as SIDRA, Vissim and Aimsun and its interface with traffic engineering (SIDRA essential)
n
- Road Safety Audit experience and/or accreditation an advantage
n
- Knowledge of road and transport infrastructure design, traffic operations, network performance, signal design and road safety principles, including Safe System Assessments.
n
- Excellent written and verbal skills, including experience in technical reporting, proposal writing and preparation
n
- A strong team focus that ensures communication and collaboration with the team
n
- Ability to manage small- to medium-scale projects is desirable.
