Boddington is a flagship Newmont gold and copper operation in Western Australia, located about 130 kilometres south-east of Perth and 16 kilometres from the rural town of Boddington. Your impact
As an Advisor, Contract Management at Boddington Gold Mine, you'll be a trusted commercial partner, supporting site operations through the effective management of strategic supplier and contractor relationships.
Working across the full contract lifecycle, you'll deliver commercial value, mitigate risk and enable safe, reliable and cost-effective operational outcomes. Your ability to influence stakeholders and provide practical commercial solutions will contribute directly to the success of one of Australia's largest gold mining operations.
As part of our team you will
- Partner with operational, maintenance, and project teams to deliver commercially sound contractor and supplier outcomes.
- Lead sourcing and tendering activities, including market engagement, evaluation, negotiation and contract award processes.
- Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including variations, renewals, claims,
performance management and dispute resolution.
- Provide commercial guidance on scope development, contractor onboarding, risk management and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with procurement policies, governance requirements and contract management systems while driving continuous improvement opportunities.
Prerequisites for your success in the role
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law or equivalent related experiences
- Demonstrated experience in contract management, procurement, supply chain or commercial roles within mining, resources, construction or heavy industry.
- Strong understanding of commercial principles, contract administration, procurement practices and supplier relationship management.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders, negotiate outcomes and balance competing operational and commercial priorities.
- Experience using SAP, ARIBA or similar contract management systems, supported by strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Your Work Environment
This permanent position is offered on a hybrid work arrangement, requiring onsite attendance at Boddington Gold Mine three days per week. Employees benefit from a 9-day fortnight roster, supporting greater flexibility and work-life balance.
As part of the Commercial team, you'll work closely with operational, maintenance and project stakeholders, providing commercial support across a diverse portfolio of supplier and contractor agreements. Reporting within a collaborative team environment, you'll build strong cross-functional relationships and gain valuable exposure to the operational and commercial drivers of one of Australia's largest gold mining operations.
