The Role
Join Perri Cutten at an exciting time in our journey as we continue to evolve one of Australia's most respected womenswear brands. As the Product Manager, you will lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, transforming creative concepts into commercially successful collections while ensuring the highest standards of quality, fit and craftsmanship. Reporting to the General Manager, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the future direction of the brand.
Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Partner with the Head of Creative to develop commercially balanced collections that align with the Perri Cutten brand vision, customer expectations and business objectives
Lead the end-to-end product development process from concept through to production approval, ensuring all garments meet quality, fit and commercial requirements
Create and manage detailed garment specifications, technical packs and product information to ensure accurate supplier execution
Manage product sampling across all development stages, including proto samples, fit samples, size sets and pre-production approvals
Drive the critical path, ensuring key milestones, range sign-offs and delivery timelines are achieved
Lead fit and quality processes, collaborating with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure consistency across all product categories
Review product performance, returns and customer feedback to identify opportunities for quality and product improvements
Collaborate closely with Merchandise & Planning, Production, Retail, Marketing and VM teams to ensure successful product execution and delivery
Build strong relationships with offshore suppliers, providing guidance and support to maintain quality,
compliance and delivery standards
Contribute to seasonal strategy presentations, trade analysis, product reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Lead, coach and develop the Garment Technician and Product Development Assistant, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment
You will have:
5-10 years' experience in Product Development, Product Management, Design or Technical Product roles within womenswear
Solid experience creating garment specifications and communicating technical requirements to offshore suppliers
Proven expertise in garment construction, fit, pattern making and the product development lifecycle
Experience working across both woven and knitwear categories
Technical womenswear expertise, particularly in tailoring
Strong knowledge of fabrics, manufacturing processes and quality assurance standards
Demonstrated experience managing offshore supplier relationships
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and critical deadlines.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
A team-oriented approach and the ability to build strong relationships across teams and stakeholders
