Grounded Construction Group

Perth

Perth-Based | Future FIFO/DIDO

We’re Grounded. We deliver large-scale remote infrastructure (NPI) and commercial construction projects across WA.

We’re looking for a Project Engineer who wants more than just a site role — someone who wants to be part of the full project journey.

Based in Perth initially, you’ll play a key role in tenders and pre-construction, shaping how projects are won and planned, before moving into site delivery (FIFO/DIDO) to bring those projects to life and support them through to completion and close-out.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Construction (Perth)

- Develop construction methodologies for tenders and upcoming projects
- Work closely with Estimators, Planners, and Procurement/Scheduling to align scope, cost, and program
- Contribute to programs, staging, sequencing, and buildability reviews
- Assist with management plans and project documentation
- Identify risks, constraints, and smarter ways to deliver projects
- Support tender submissions with accurate, practical input

Project Delivery (Site-Based)

- Transition into project delivery/site support as projects are awarded, working closely with Supervisors and Project Managers
- Coordinate and manage quality processes, including ITPs/ITRs, inspections, and non-conformance (NCR) resolution
- Liaise daily with Supervisors and site teams to ensure works are delivered in line with program, quality, and design
- Coordinate day-to-day site activities, subcontractors, and material deliveries to meet program requirements
- Monitor progress, productivity, and quality, ensuring works are delivered in line with plans and specifications
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure accurate delivery
- Support cost control, tracking variations,

and assisting with reporting and forecasting

Project Close-Out

- Support project completion and close-out, including documentation, handover requirements, and defect management
- Ensure all as-built information, records, and project documentation are accurate and finalised
- Contribute to post-project reviews and continuous improvement across the business

Skills and Experience:

- Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 3+ years’ experience as a Project or Site Engineer within commercial construction and/or NPI (Non-Process Infrastructure) projects
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, buildability, and project delivery across both pre-construction and site phases
- Experience working with Estimating, Planning, and Procurement teams during tender and project planning stages
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation with a practical, delivery-focused mindset
- Exposure to site-based project delivery, including coordination of subcontractors, quality processes, and program management
- Experience across earthworks, concrete, structural, and general building works (or similar)
- Open to FIFO/DIDO or remote project work as required

Why Join Grounded

- Be part of a business built on Trust, Passion, and Care
- Work on a diverse portfolio of major projects across remote infrastructure (NPI) and commercial construction
- Get exposure across the full project lifecycle; from tender through to delivery and close-out
- Competitive salary package with access to additional travel benefits aligned to project requirements
- Career progression opportunities
- Active social club
- Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and structured wellbeing support
- Work from a modern West Perth office, close to Kings Park
