The Fresh Collective is seeking an experienced, commercially minded Sales & Events Manager to lead sales and event coordination at Strathfield Golf Club.

In this pivotal role, you’ll own the client journey from first enquiry through to post-event follow-up. You’ll drive new and repeat business across weddings, private celebrations, wakes, corporate, association and government events—while ensuring every event is thoughtfully planned, profitable and delivered to an exceptional standard.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Sales – NSW & ACT, you’ll balance proactive sales activity with detailed event management. You’ll build a strong local client base, turn enquiries into confirmed business, and work closely with the club, operations, kitchen, staffing, marketing and accounts teams to bring each event to life.

What You’ll Do

- Manage inbound enquiries, prepare tailored proposals and convert leads into confirmed events
- Generate new business through proactive outreach, networking, referrals and relationship building
- Grow repeat business and manage key client relationships across all event sectors
- Conduct client meetings, venue inspections and sales presentations
- Manage the full planning process, including event briefs, function sheets, floorplans, staffing, equipment, supplier requirements, invoices and client communications
- Work collaboratively with Strathfield Golf Club and Fresh Collective teams to deliver seamless event execution
- Monitor event budgets, margins and revenue opportunities, including yield management for key dates
- Maintain accurate client, sales and event records in Elite/Momentus or a similar event management system
- Complete post-event follow-up, gather feedback and identify future event opportunities
- Attend industry events, client functions and networking opportunities as required
- Prepare weekly sales activity, pipeline and financial reporting





About You

You’re an organised and confident hospitality qualified with a natural ability to build rapport. You enjoy the energy of a sales conversation, have an eye for detail, and take pride in turning a client brief into a memorable event experience.

You’ll bring:

- Experience in sales, events, hospitality, catering, hotels or venue management
- A proven ability to build business, convert enquiries and nurture repeat clients
- Strong event coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial awareness and confidence working with budgets, quotes and event profitability
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and high attention to detail
- Confidence engaging with clients, suppliers, venue partners and internal stakeholders
- Experience with Elite, Momentus or a similar CRM/event management system is highly regarded
- Availability to attend occasional evening or out-of-hours events and networking functions
