About the Position

As a Junior School Teacher at St Hilda's School, you will create an engaging and supportive learning setting that promotes academic achievement, curiosity, and personal growth among students in middle and upper Primary. This role involves developing and delivering curriculum-aligned instruction in accordance with the Australian Curriculum, using data-informed practices to monitor and assess student progress, and providing differentiated learning experiences that meet each student’s individual needs. You will foster positive relationships with students and their families, and support the academic, social, and personal development of every child in your care.

1. Teaching Excellence

- Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging,



differentiated instruction that meets diverse learning needs
- Strong knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and evidence-based teaching practices
- Proven track record of achieving excellent academic outcomes
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing innovative unit and lesson plans aligned with the Australian Curriculum.

2. Understanding of Girls' Education

- Deep understanding of how girls learn and develop across different age groups
- Ability to nurture confidence, resilience, and emerging leadership in girls during their formative years
- Knowledge of research-based approaches to girls' education and empowerment
- Commitment to broadening girls' aspirations from an early age.

3. Professional Skills

- Excellent classroom management and organisational abilities
- Strong communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues
- Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning platforms
- High level of ability to assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
