Prepare and serve nutritious and attractive meals to residents
Work with the Cook to ensure meals are plated and presented attractively
Understand and respect residents’ preferences and serve food and beverages accordingly
Serve and distribute morning and afternoon teas
Assist the Cook with ordering and rotating food stocks
Clean dishes after each meal and maintain high cleanliness standards
Deliver excellent customer service to residents and their families
Report directly to the Chef Manager
Requirements
- Current National Police Check
- Prior experience in a similar role within Aged Care is essential
- Readiness and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and take initiative
- Ability to work as part of a team in a proactive support role to the cook
- Excellent hygiene standards
- Knowledge of Food Safety Standards
- Valid national police check and pre-employment medical assessment required
- Must work in a smoke-free workplace
