We are seeking an experienced and passionate Centre Director to lead our early learning centre. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, staff leadership, regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality education and care outcomes for children and families.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee daily operations of the centre, ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standard (NQS), and Education and Care Services National Regulations
- Lead, mentor, and manage educators and support staff, including rostering, performance management, and career development
- Manage enrolments, occupancy, and waitlists to meet budget and utilisation targets
- Manage the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) process, including enrolment confirmations, session reporting, attendance reconciliation, and liaising with Services Australia/the Child Care Subsidy System (CCSS) to resolve discrepancies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, addressing concerns and ensuring high satisfaction
- Maintain the centre's Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and lead preparation for Assessment and Rating visits
- Ensure all policies and procedures (health, safety, child protection, WHS)



are implemented and followed
- Manage centre budget, including staffing costs, resources, and P&L; reporting to ownership
- Ensure staff-to-child ratios and qualification requirements are met at all times
- Handle incident reporting, notifications to regulatory authorities, and family communications as required

About you

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA-approved)
- Minimum 10 years' experience in early childhood education, including at least 5 years in a leadership/management role
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification
- Sound knowledge of the NQF, NQS, EYLF (Early Years Learning Framework), and relevant state regulations
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Experience with rostering, budgeting, and centre management software (e.g., Employment Hero, Xplor, QikKids, or similar)
- Demonstrated experience managing Child Care Subsidy (CCS) processes, including the CCSS provider/service portal, enrolments, and session report submissions
