The Rebelo Group is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team in Newstead, QLD. What you'll be doing

n

Assisting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring smooth service delivery

n

Supervising front-of-house and back-of-house staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management

n

Maintaining high standards of customer service and addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally

n

Managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow to optimise the dining experience

n

Monitoring inventory, stock levels, and food waste to ensure cost-effective operations

n

Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

n

Supporting the implementation of marketing initiatives and promotional activities

n

Handling cash management, processing payments, and reconciling financial records

n

Maintaining restaurant standards, cleanliness, and presentation throughout service periods

n

Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and staff development programmes

n

What we're looking for

n

Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality management role, preferably as an Assistant Manager or similar position

n

Robust leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff

n





Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with guests and team members

n

Knowledge of restaurant operations, point-of-sale systems, and inventory management

n

Understanding of health, safety, and food hygiene compliance requirements

n

Customer service excellence and problem-solving skills

n

Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and adapt to a fast-paced environment

n

Proficiency with hospitality software and computer systems

n

Certification in hospitality management or food safety would be advantageous

n

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
