The Position n
Come and join the IDHS Community and Allied Health Services team, with a well renowned supportive workplace culture and an opportunity to work alongside experienced Allied Health Professionals. In this role you will work autonomously in a supported environment, undertake a wide-ranging and diverse workload and provide interventions across bed based (acute and residential aged care), outpatient and community/ in home services. The successful applicant will have a strong interest in working with aged clients in rural healthcare and be willing to gain experience in various clinical and non-clinical roles. You will be supported by another grade 2 O.T and work closely with management and the broader team, to grow your career.
About you - Essential criteria n
n
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent and eligibility for membership of professional association.
n
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.
n
- Experience in the delivery of person-centred occupational therapy services within bed based, outpatient and home/ community settings.
n
- Demonstrated understanding of health and related issues experienced by elderly people, people with disabilities, their carers and rural/regional residents.
n
- Demonstrated high level of inter-personal skills with the ability to effectively liaise with consumers, the community, service providers and other agencies.
n
- An understanding and commitment to the social model of health.
n
- A strong commitment to teamwork and lifelong learning.
n
- A current driver's license.
n

- Knowledge of the service system and ability to liaise and advocate across the full spectrum of health and community care.
n
- Experience with and a passion for service and quality development.
n
- Experience of regional and rural health delivery.
