We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to join the Sydney Region team. The role involves sharing your skills across 4 residential facilities and home care. This opportunity will suit an individual with a robust nursing background, with current clinical skills and an aged care focus. Facility management experience will be highly regarded.

The Role:

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for:

n

n

n
- Conducting clinical and site audits

n
- Undertaking Resident assessments and assisting in the development of care plans.

n
- Providing expert, best practice advice on clinical issues and areas of risk within the region.

n
- Leading regional clinical governance meetings and initiatives.

n
- Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team

n
- Providing clinical support to Registered Nurses

n
- Coordinating and promoting continuous improvement processes and systems to staff

n
- Ensuring compliance to the Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards

n




- Acting in facility management positions when required.

n

Requirements n

n

n
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA

n
- At least 5 years’ experience in the aged care sector at RN level or higher.

n
- At least 2 years’ experience as a CNC or similar

n
- Experience in managing a facility in a FM or CM capacity (preferred)

n
- Extensive hands-on clinical care experience in an aged care setting

n
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards.

n
- Superior communication skills both verbal and written are crucial for this role

n
- High level reporting (written and verbal) and analytical skills

n
- Advanced computer skills

n
- Happy to travel across the Greater Sydney area to visit facilities.

n
- Own car and current driver’s license is essential.
