Job Description n

The roles would ideally suit trade qualified fitters with solid troubleshooting skills and a passion for mechanical machinery. You will be tasked with a broad range of servicing, repair and refurbishment activities and will require skills and experience across a range of mechanical and hydraulic systems and components.
n
As an enthusiastic and highly productive team member, some of your key duties will include:
n
n
- Maintenance and repair work on a broad range of fixed and mobile hydraulic equipment;
n
- Carry out general machining and/or mechanical bench work;
n
- Repair/refurbish hydraulic cylinders;
n
- Reading and interpreting schematic diagrams to effectively troubleshoot problems on a wide range of industrial equipment;
n
- Use test equipment to methodically isolate and diagnose faults including: closed loop, open loop; pressure comp, load sensed, hydraulic & electronic proportional control;
n
- Installation and commissioning of hydraulic systems;
n
- Fit-up, programming and servicing of the World's No.1 crane brand;
n
- Carry out detailed service and safety inspections on mobile equipment;
n
- Thoroughly test and quality control all work;
n
- Accurately complete reports and service documentation

Qualifications n
n
n
Skills and Experience
n
n
- Demonstrate a high level of engineering and hydraulic technical knowledge with confidence to work independently;
n
- Hands-on experience in engineering and machine shop functions;
n
- Experience with servicing and maintenance on a broad range of mobile equipment including truck mounted cranes;
n
- An understanding of hydraulic and electronic control and safety systems
n
- Minimum Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Machinist) or similar;
n
- Post trade Fluid Power qualifications with the ability to read & apply hydraulic schematics;
n
- Experience in the fundamentals of maintenance practices & high level of fault-finding and problem- solving skills;
n
- Disciplined with attention to detail and accuracy
n
- Strong work ethic & pride in workmanship
n
- Drivers licence & own transport
n
