St Mary's School, Geelong has a rich history in providing a quality education that equips students with the necessary knowledge, skills, attributes and behaviours that they will use throughout their lifetime.

We are seeking passionate graduate teachers, who will embrace the school's vision for evidence-informed practices and be willing to undertake any professional development required, tojoin our dedicated staff team. These classroom teaching positions are full-time and fixed-term, commencing on Wednesday January27th, 2027 and concluding on Wednesday 26th January, 2028.

These fixed-term positions are for 2027, as they are replacing ongoing teachers currently on parental leave.

The successful applicants will have;
n
n
- a strong commitment to Catholic education and the ethos of Catholic schools
n
- the appropriate qualifications, skills and abilities necessary to provide students with rich and rewarding educational experiences, catering for individual needs in an inclusive, open learning workplace
n
- experience or interest in evidence-informed learning and teaching with the ability to deliver the learning content with passion
n
- the ability to work and plan collaboratively as part of a team, sharing the responsibility for improving student outcomes
n
- capacity to implement efficient and effective classroom behaviour management strategies aligned with our current School Wide Positive Behaviour Management approach
n
- strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive partnerships with staff, students and their families
n
- a commitment to adopting the school's vision for evidence-informed practices, inclusive of the Science of Reading, designing a knowledge-based curriculum and an Explicit Instruction pedagogical approach, and a willingness to undertake ongoing professional development in these areas.

Salary in accordance with the Victorian Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement and available atwww.cecv.catholic.edu.au.

Special Requirements

- accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School would be an advantage
n
- current, Teacher Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
n
- completion and submission of the 'Application For Employment' document
