Senior Electrical Engineer - Solar & BESS

About the Role

n

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join a leading organisation building some of Australia's largest Solar and BESS hybrid projects. This position is on-site, near Brisbane, Queensland.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to subcontractors and internal teams, ensuring electrical works meet design specifications, industry standards, and project requirements
n
- Ensure appropriate engineering resources and competencies are allocated to integrate quality and compliance into all electrical design and installation activities
n
- Oversee resolution of technical issues and ensure timely completion of outstanding engineering-related defects
n
- Implement and maintain the project’s electrical quality plan, ensuring adherence to relevant codes and standards
n
- Advise on electrical design feasibility, equipment selection, material suitability, and integration of solar PV and battery systems
n
- Manage technical aspects of project delivery, ensuring effective coordination between design, procurement, and construction teams
n




- Identify and manage compliance requirements with relevant authorities for electrical approvals, grid connection, and regulatory certifications
n
- Monitor engineering progress against project schedules, coordinate technical activities, and resolve design or installation challenges promptly.
n
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, technical documentation, and support change management processes for electrical scope variations.

Qualifications & Experience

n

n
- Project Management and/or Engineering Qualification (Electrical Engineering)
n
- Proven experience in renewable energy project engineering, with a strong technical understanding of solar PV, battery storage, and inverter systems
n
- Knowledge of project the renewable energy market
n
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
n
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced workplace
n
