nFusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Long Term Care for a 13-week travel assignment in Canton, South Dakota. Required Qualifications:n

nOne year of recent experience as an RN in a long-term care settingn
n
nValid RN license in compliance with state regulationsn
n
nCurrent BLS (AHA/ARC) or CPR certification Preferred Qualifications:n

nACLS Certificationn

nOther certifications may be required depending on facility requirements Summary:n
n
nA Registered Nurse (RN) in a long-term care (LTC) facility provides skilled nursing care to residents, ensuring their health, comfort, and well-being. RNs oversee patient care plans, administer treatments, monitor for changes in condition, and collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality, resident-centered care. They also play a key role in supervising nursing staff, educating residents and families, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies. Essential Work Functions:n
n
nAssess patient or resident health, monitor for changes, and take appropriate action to ensure their well-beingn
n
nDevelop, update, and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the patient care teamn
n
nAdminister medications and treatments safely and accuratelyn
n
nObserve residents for any medication reactions or changes in condition and report concerns to the healthcare providern
n
nProvide treatments including wound care, IV therapy, catheter management, and other skilled procedures within scope of practicen
n
nSupervise and support LPNs and CNAs, delegating appropriately and ensuring residents receive quality caren
n




nEducate residents and families on medications, treatments, and managing chronic conditionsn
n
nDocument care provided, resident progress, and any health changes in a timely mannern
n
nRespond quickly to emergencies, delivering critical care and coordinating with medical teams when neededn
n
nWork closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, comprehensive caren
n
nPerform other duties as assigned within the scope of practicen
n
nAdhere to facility safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards Required Essential Skills:n

nThe ability to read, write, and communicate in the English languagen

nAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsn

n- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bendn

n- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipmentn
