We currently have a full-time position available for experienced Field Service Diesel Mechanic working across South Australia.

- Extra rate when you're away

- Super on every hour

- Training when the job needs it

- No fixed roster - if you need a day, we sort it

- Your own late-model Landcruiser service vehicle

The Role

n

n
- Field work. Youre on site most days.
n
- Planned servicing and maintenance, breakdowns and diagnostics
n
- Equipment inspections and dealing with the client on the job
n
- Assist our component rebuild shop when required
n
- Help grow our apprentices
n
- Planned maintenance, diagnostics and breakdowns
n
- Short-term labour hire as it comes up
n




- Mining and construction plant - CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Volvo and others
n
- Generally Monday to Friday, some weekends when the work is on
n

Necessary qualifications/licences

n

n
- Certificate 3 heavy diesel mechanic/mobile plant and equipment or equivalent
n
- 5+ years post trade experience
n
- WHS Industry white card
n

Down to Earth Diesel is an earthmoving maintenance business based from Mount Barker. We look after construction, civil and mining plant across South Australia - planned servicing, breakdowns and diagnostics. Field work, not a workshop roster.

The crew is small. You run your own jobs, keep the client updated, and own the outcome. We don't do shutdowns. Short-term labour hire comes up. Component rebuilds sit with our specialist; you'd assist when needed. Helping our apprentices get better is part of the job.
