Oxbridge Group is a diversified Australian organisation operating across real estate, finance, insurance, property development and professional services. Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Management Accountant to join our team in Tamborine Mountain.

About the Position

n

The Management Accountant will analyse financial performance, prepare management reports and provide strategic financial advice to support the continued growth of the organisation.

n

This is a professional accounting position and does not involve primarily clerical, bookkeeping or accounting-assistant duties.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements and financial-performance reports.
n
- Develop and monitor annual budgets and short-, medium- and long-term cash-flow forecasts.
n
- Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis and report findings to management.
n
- Analyse profitability by business division, service line and project.
n
- Conduct contribution-margin, break-even, NPV, IRR and payback-period analysis.
n
- Monitor financial and operational KPIs and recommend performance improvements.
n
- Prepare balance-sheet, bank and general-ledger reconciliations.
n
- Manage working-capital analysis and accounts-payable planning.
n
- Analyse foreign-currency transactions and exchange-rate impacts.
n
- Prepare audit workpapers and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
n




- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with applicable Australian accounting standards and regulations.
n
- Assist with ERP implementation, finance-system improvements and process automation.
n
- Strengthen internal controls and improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
n
- Provide financial advice and analysis to senior management.
n

Qualifications and Experience

n

Applicants must have:

n

n
- A bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
n
- At least three years of relevant qualified accounting or management-accounting experience.
n
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial reporting, cash-flow forecasting and variance analysis.
n
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, reconciliations and financial controls.
n
- Experience using accounting software and ERP systems.
n
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial-modelling skills.
n
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
- The ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
n

A Master of Professional Accounting or comparable postgraduate qualification, international accounting experience and knowledge of IFRS will be highly regarded.

n
