Based in Western Australia, Go Engineering operates across two complementary streams — a Perth-based consulting team delivering study and technical support, and a Contracting Division providing high-quality, site-based engineering support to mining operations across the resources sector.

Our Contracting Division focuses on placing experienced engineers directly into client operations, supporting mine planning, production engineering, mine start-ups, technical services, statutory coverage, and operational improvement initiatives across a range of mining environments.
n
About the Role
n
We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to join our Contracting Division in a full-time, permanent position.
n
As a Planning Engineer (FIFO / site-based), you will be deployed directly to operating mine sites across Western Australia, providing hands‐on mine planning and technical services support to client operations.
n
You will play a key role in:
n
n
- Developing short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans
n
- Improving planning systems and processes
n
- Providing trusted technical advice to site leadership
n
- Delivering practical engineering solutions that create measurable value
n
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Deliver mine planning support within operating mine sites.
n
- Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans.
n
- Create practical mine designs,
development plans, schedules, and production forecasts.
n
- Produce and maintain mine planning deliverables using Deswik, EPS, or similar software.
n
- Work closely with operational and technical teams to optimise mine performance.
n
- Assist with drill and blast, ventilation, and infrastructure planning activities.
n
- Review and improve planning systems, workflows, and reporting processes.
n
- Support budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and operational planning cycles.
n
- Provide technical advice and recommendations to site leadership teams.
n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, and operational performance.

Your Qualifications & Experience
n
n
- Degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
n
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in mine planning roles.
n
- Strong background in mine planning and technical services.
n
- Experience using planning software such as Deswik, EPS, or equivalent.
n
- Solid understanding of mining methods, scheduling principles, and operational constraints.
n
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across operational and technical teams.
n
- Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.
n
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
n
- Manual (C-Class) Driver's Licence and full Australian working rights.
n
- Ability to work autonomously within dynamic site environments.
