Practice Support Officer - Administration Officer

Permanent Full Time x 76 hours

The Opportunity
n
This position will be responsible for the efficient operation of the headspace 'front end' reception and primary care GP practice. You will be the first point of contact for a range of young people 12- 25 years, including those who may be experiencing mental health problems.

About you?
n
Do you have experience in the following? Then this role is for you!
n
n
- Reception and administration experience in a medical setting
n
- Organising appointments
n
- Engage and liaising with GPs and Allied Health Professionals
n
- Collect client Minimum Data Set (MDS)
n
- Monitor and record vaccine fridge temperatures twice daily,
n
- Liaise with Medicare, IT contractors and process online MBS billings, data entry and performing various administrative duties.
n
n
Essential Criteria
n
n
- High level of computer literacy and the use of appointment software and databases
n
- Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, internet, email, publishing and appointment software).
n
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to confidentiality principles.
n
- High level of organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work, multi-task, meet deadlines and respond to requests at short notice.
n
- Demonstrated ability to respond to difficult and/or stressful situations in a calm, sensitive and professional manner.
n
- Sound knowledge of medical software, the Medicare system and processing of online Medicare payments is preferable.
n
n
The successful applicant will possess or willingness to obtain the following: NSW Working with Children Check, National Criminal History Check, First Aid & CPR certificate and undertake a pre‐employment functional medical.
