Embedded Firmware Engineer | $50K-$80K AUD | Perth, Australia n
Working with a global IoT and asset tracking business, building robust, scalable hardware products used across multiple industries. This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer to get hands-on across the full product lifecycle, working closely with hardware and production teams.
Ideal background: n
n
- 0–2 years experience in embedded firmware development (or strong academic projects)
n
- Strong experience with C / C++ in embedded environments
n
- Exposure to microcontrollers (ARM, STM32 or similar)
n
- Understanding of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN)
n
- Experience debugging on hardware (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analysers)
n
- Basic understanding of electronics and schematic reading
n
- Exposure to RTOS or real-time systems (nice to have)
n
- Familiarity with Git or version control
n
- Some experience with Python or C# is a bonus
n
- Degree in Electrical Engineering,
Embedded Systems or similar
n

- Designing and developing embedded firmware for IoT hardware products

- Supporting the full product lifecycle from concept through to production
n
- Working closely with hardware, testing, and production teams
n
- Debugging and optimising firmware performance and reliability
n
- Supporting manufacturing and field teams with technical issues
n
- Contributing to firmware architecture and system design decisions
n
- Writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code
n
