Azure AI Engineer n
Are you an AI Engineer who loves building rather than talking about building?

We're partnering with a major organisation in the Energy sector embarking on a significant AI transformation program that will see AI embedded across business operations, customer services, and internal processes.
n
This is a rare opportunity to join a dedicated AI delivery team focused on rapidly designing, building, testing, and deploying real-world AI use cases. You'll work alongside like-minded engineers in a fast-paced environment where the focus is on experimentation, delivery, and measurable outcomes—not endless PowerPoint presentations.

The Prospect n
As an Azure AI Engineer, you'll play a hands-on role in developing and deploying AI solutions that drive innovation across a large-scale energy business.
n
You'll be involved in:
n
n
- Designing and building AI agents and workflows using Azure AI Foundry
n
- Developing reusable, modular AI solutions that can be leveraged across multiple use cases
n
- Creating orchestration frameworks and agent-to-agent interactions
n
- Building workflow automation using Azure Logic Apps, Durable Workflows, and Power Automate
n
- Implementing governance, guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and testing processes
n
- Supporting red teaming and AI safety initiatives
n
- Working closely with business stakeholders to rapidly turn ideas into working AI solutions
n
- Contributing to a growing AI capability that will deliver dozens of AI use cases over the life of the program
n
What We're Looking For n
We're not looking for highly senior AI Architects.
n
Instead, we're seeking hands-on engineers who enjoy building, experimenting, and delivering outcomes.
n
You will ideally bring:
n
n
- Around 4-5 years of software engineering experience
n
- Approximately 2 years of hands-on AI development experience
n
- Experience working with Azure AI services and modern AI development practices
n
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
n
- A passion for learning and applying emerging AI technologies
n
- Experience working in agile or sprint-based delivery environments
n
Technical Experience n
Experience with some or most of the following:
n
n
- Azure AI Foundryn n
- AI Agents
n
- Agent orchestration
n
- Governance and guardrails
n
n
- Autogen Framework (Microsoft) or similar agentic AI frameworks
n
- Databricks (highly desirable)
n
- Azure Logic Apps
n
- Durable Workflows
n
- Power Automate
n
- AI evaluation frameworks including TEVV (Test, Evaluate, Verify, Validate)
n
- AI red teaming and model validation practices
n
- GitHub Copilot
n
- Reusable and modular AI architecture patterns
n
