Job Description n

Reporting to the Chief Steward, we are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Steward to join our dynamic team.
n
The Kitchen Steward is a key role within our culinary team, working closely together to ensure our kitchens are organised and clean, ready to deliver to our guests.
n
In this role you will (but not limited to):
n
n
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment whilst ensuring a product of high quality and presentation standards.
n
- Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned.
n
- Rinse dirty crockery and cutlery, stack in the dishwasher, unload and put away.
n
- Wash pots by hand
n
- Ensure that all F&B; outlets are provided with clean and sanitised operating equipment.
n
- Use correct handling techniques to transport and store food items.
n
- Wipe down benches.
n
- Sweep and mop floors.
n
- Assist and liaise with chef on duty as required.
n
n
n
Qualifications n
n
n
About You:
n
n
- Valid Food Handler’s Certificate.
n
- Have an enthusiastic "can-do" attitude and a positive and motivated demeanour.
n
- Flexible availability to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, overnights and public holidays as required.
n
- Motivated & committed to work with our passionate team.
n
- Commercial dishwashing experience (desirable).
n
- Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
n
- An understanding on stock management and general kitchen cleaning skills.
n
- Adhere to secure work practices.
n
- Strong communication skills.
n
- Have a good work ethic and be a team player.
n
