DESCRIPTION n

Based out of our Canberra branch, you will complete preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on Generator or component at the customer sites

n

Special Bonus - $5000 Sign on bonus available

RESPONSIBILITIES n

n
- Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools
n
- Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor
n
- Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field
n
- Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens
n
- Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
n
- Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
n
- Train electrical apprentices in and out of the branch
n
- Coordinate jobs and responsibilities within the branch and delegate workload
n
- Understand relevant electrical certification required in country
n
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation
n
- Complete in workshop repairs as required
n
- Engages with customer in a courteous and qualified manner
n

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION nn
- $5000 Sign on bonus applicable for this role

- Full Time / 38 hours per week

- Overtime as required - Penalty rates paid for all work above 38 hours
n
- All your Safety equipment / PPE and uniforms are provided and laundered
n
- Local Valid Drivers License is required
n
- Must be happy to travel and work between the Canberra and Sydney branches and stay in Sydney for a few days at a time while projects are completed
n

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING nn
- Apprentice Trained Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (or equivalent)
n
- Diploma/Certificate from relevant technical institution
n
- Current relevant electrical certification / tickets
n
- Basic or Intermediate (preferred) level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products
n
- High Voltage / Low Voltage Experience preferred
n

QUALIFICATIONS nn
- Must be happy to travel and work between the Canberra and Sydney branches and stay in Sydney for a few days at a time while projects are completed
n
- Understand that there will be some more complex project work as well as routine maintenance
n
- Previous experience with Power Generation strongly desired
n
- Ability to work autonomously
n
- Approved 5k sign on bonus
