About the program Each is the lead agency for headspace. headspace Early Psychosis is a youth and family-friendly mental health service supporting young people aged 12-25 years who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, a first episode of psychosis. Our multidisciplinary team delivers evidence-based, recovery-focused care, supporting young people and their families through assessment, intervention, and ongoing support.

The Mobile Assessment and Treatment Team (MATT) and Continuing Care Team (CCT) provide assertive outreach, crisis management, and intensive engagement. Together, they play a vital role in helping young people navigate complex challenges and create pathways to recovery.

Your role, your impact As a Mental Health Clinician, you'll play a vital role in supporting young people experiencing or at risk of early psychosis. Acting as a key support throughout their episode of care, you'll provide clinical assessment, case management, evidence-based interventions and family-focused support that helps young people achieve their recovery goals.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide clinical assessment, intervention, crisis management, and therapy to young people
n
- Promote family involvement in care and treatment planning
n
- Engage clients, carers, and families in collaborative treatment and review
n
- Strengthen shared care models and partnerships with other service providers
n
- Deliver evidence-based interventions aligned with the EPPIC framework
n




- Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals and external agencies to support integrated care and improve outcomes for young people
n
- Support professional development and contribute to research and evaluation
n
- Foster a supportive, inclusive team culture
n

About you To thrive in this role, you’ll have:

n

n
- Approved tertiary qualification/s in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Social Work, with eligibility for registration or membership with the relevant professional body
n
- Experience in clinical assessment, intervention, and case management with young people
n
- Strong engagement skills for working with young people and families
n
- Ability to provide adaptable outreach services
n
- Understanding of relevant legislation and recovery-oriented care
n
- Commitment to inclusive, culturally safe practice
n
- Valid driver’s licence
n

- Experience in early psychosis or youth mental health

- Experience contributing to service planning, development, implementation, or evaluation

- Experience participating in research, quality improvement, service innovation, or clinical supervision activities
