Montauk Tavern is looking for an experienced Front of House hospitality person to join our waterfront crew.

n

We're not chasing fancy titles or someone looking to climb the corporate ladder.

n

We want a good pub person.

n

Someone who knows their way around a bar, understands TAB, KENO and gaming, enjoys talking to customers and regulars, and turns up with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

n

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants stability and a venue they can genuinely become part of.

n

You'll ideally have solid pub or hospitality experience and be comfortable working across:

- Bar service
n
- TAB & KENO
n
- Gaming room
n
- Bistro and floor service
n
- Busy weekends and peak trade
n

n

You don't need to know everything — but you do need to be confident, willing to learn and happy to get stuck in wherever the team needs you.

- Support the team across bar & floor operations

About You

n

n
- Experience in a Duty Manager, Supervisor or Assistant Manager role within hospitality
n
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
n
- Sound understanding of bar, bistro, TAB, KENO and gaming operations
n
- Confident using POS, rostering and reporting systems
n
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
n
- Current RSA and RSG plus willingness to obtain RMLV and approved managers certificates
n
- Is confident, friendly, and great with regulars
n
- Handles busy service calmly and professionally
n
- Works well in a team and communicates clearly
n
- Takes pride in responsible, high-quality service
n
- Is looking for a stable pub role, not just a short-term gig
n
- Weekend & evening availability
n
- You're hands-on, reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.
