We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our growing team. This role is critical to our business success, providing accurate cost assessments and competitive pricing for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

- - Prepare detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects from architectural plans and specifications
n
- - Analyse project requirements, drawings, and specifications to determine scope of work
n
- - Source and obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
n
- - Prepare tender submissions and bid documentation within specified deadlines
n
- - Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and potential challenges
n
- - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of material costs, labor rates, and market conditions
n
- - Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to clarify project requirements
n
- - Review and evaluate subcontractor quotes for accuracy and competitiveness
n
- - Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
n
- - Maintain organised records of estimates, quotes, and correspondence
n

Required Qualifications

n

n
- - Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in residential and commercial construction
n
- - Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
n
- - Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel essential)
n
- - Excellent numerical and analytical skills
n
- - Solid attention to detail and accuracy
n
- - Effective communication and interpersonal skills
n
- - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
n




- - Knowledge of Australian building codes and standards
n

Desired Qualifications

- - Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field
n
- - Experience with estimating software such as Buildsoft, Estimating Link, or similar
n
- - Understanding of South Australian building regulations
n
- - Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to clarify project requirements
n
- - Review and evaluate subcontractor quotes for accuracy and competitiveness
n
- - Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
n
