Job Description

n

Lead and continuously improve the Cowal Mine Training Scheme and learning systems to support operational excellence
n Drive workforce capability through training needs analysis, competency development and strategic training initiatives
n Ensure training compliance aligns with legislative requirements, site expectations and safety management systems
n Mentor and develop a team of Training Advisors and Trainer Assessors
n Influence leaders across the business to strengthen workforce competency, engagement and continuous improvement outcomes
n Partner with operational and site leaders to support safe, productive and high-performing operations
n Report to the Superintendent - Safety & Health

Requirements n

n
- Tertiary qualification in a training related discipline
n
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
n
- Minimum of 5 years experience in training, learning and development or workforce capability roles
n
- Experience within mining, resources or heavy industry environments
n
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor, coach and develop high-performing teams
n
- Strong knowledge of training compliance, competency based frameworks and relevant legislation
n
- Ability to build solid stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes across all levels of an organisation
n
- Experience with INX, Moodle or similar learning management systems (highly regarded)
n




- Experience conducting training needs analyses, skill gap assessments and training audits (highly regarded)
n
- Exposure to strategic workforce planning and capability development initiatives (highly regarded)
n
