Here’s how you’ll be a part of our team The position of Yardperson at our Welshpool branch is a key operational role responsible for preparing, refurbishing and maintaining our portable buildings and amenities to a high standard before they are delivered to customers. This role would suit someone with a trade or construction background, particularly in carpentry, building maintenance or general refurbishment work. You’ll work across a range of portable buildings completing fit-outs, repairs and modifications to ensure our assets are safe, functional and customer-ready. As well as providing a high level of customer service, you will:

- Carry out refurbishment and repair work on portable buildings and amenities.
n
- Complete tasks such as replacing doors, repairing walls, installing fixtures and carrying out general carpentry work.
n
- Modify and reconfigure portable buildings to meet customer requirements.
n
- Perform general yard duties, including asset inspections and preparation for hire.
n
- Load and unload portable buildings and equipment using safe work practices.
n
- Promote and contribute to a Safety First, Zero Harm culture across the branch.
n

What You Will Bring To The Role nn
- Valid driver’s licence
n
- Current Forklift Licence




n
- Experience in carpentry, building maintenance, repairs, refurbishment, fit-outs or a similar hands‑on trade setting.
n
- The ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
n
- Experience loading and unloading equipment
n
- Strong knowledge of load restraint practices
n
- A proactive approach to workplace health and safety
n
- A genuine interest in building a stable, long‑term career with Coates
n
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
