RSEA Safety is Australia’s largest independent safety retailer, supplying workwear, PPE and safety equipment across Retail, B2B and Hire.

With a growing portfolio of in‑house brands, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Workwear Designer to join our Design team in Hurstville.

The Role n

Reporting into the Head Of Retail Merchandise, this is a senior, hands‑on design role with end-to-end ownership of product – from initial concept through to final production.

n

You’ll develop commercial workwear and apparel from the ground up, producing CADs and tech packs, managing fittings and samples, and working directly with factories and suppliers to bring product to market.

The role spans seasonal retail ranges and custom B2B projects across multiple product categories.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Own product development from concept through to bulk production
n
- Design and develop commercial workwear and apparel
n
- Produce CADs, technical drawings, tech packs and specifications
n
- Manage fittings, sampling and product iterations
n
- Work directly with factories, suppliers and fabric mills
n
- Design with a strong understanding of garment construction, fit, function, durability and compliance
n
- Balance design with cost, margin and production requirements
n




- Support seasonal ranges and custom B2B projects
n
- Collaborate with Product, Merchandise, Sales and Marketing
n
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior design team members
n

About You nn
- Extensive apparel design experience, ideally within workwear, uniforms or technical apparel
n
- Proven experience taking garments from concept through to final production
n
- Strong garment construction and technical development knowledge
n
- Experience producing CADs, tech packs and detailed specifications
n
- High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, with Photoshop desirable
n
- Experience working directly with factories, suppliers and/or fabric mills
n
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
n
- Ability to manage multiple products and priorities
n
- Experience with workwear, Hi-Vis or compliant apparel will be highly regarded
n
