We're looking for an experienced Workshop Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Auto Electrician or Electrician looking for a varied, hands‑on role working with specialised equipment in the aviation industry.
n

What you'll be working on n
You'll service, maintain and repair a diverse range of aviation ground support equipment including:
n
n
- n
Aircraft tugs
n
- n
Belt loaders
n
- n
Baggage tractors
n
- n
Cargo loaders
n
- n
Passenger stairs
n
- n
Ground power units
n
- n
Specialised airport support equipment
n
n
No two days are the same, with a combination of preventative maintenance, diagnostics, breakdown response, commissioning and equipment upgrades.
Key responsibilities n
n
- n
Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical faults
n
- n
Complete scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
n
- n
Attend breakdowns and minimise customer downtime
n
- n
Install, commission and test new equipment
n
- n
Complete OEM upgrades, service bulletins and warranty repairs
n
- n
Maintain accurate service records using electronic reporting systems
n
- n
Provide qualified technical support and outstanding customer service
n
- n
Work safely while complying with company and airport safety requirements
n
- n
Travel occasionally to support customers across Australia when required
n
About you n
You’ll be someone who enjoys getting stuck into technical work and takes pride in delivering quality repairs.
n
Ideally you’ll have:
n
n
- n
Mechanical, Diesel Mechanic, Auto Electrical, Mobile Plant or Electrical trade qualification
n
- n
Experience working on heavy vehicles, mobile plant, forklifts, agricultural, mining, construction or industrial equipment
n
- n
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
n
- n
Ability to work independently and manage your workload
n
- n
Good communication and customer service skills
n
- n
Current Australian Driver’s Licence
n
n
Highly regarded, but not essential:
n
n
- n
Experience with PLCs, CANBus or electric drive systems
n
- n
Hydraulic fault-finding experience
n
- n
Aviation Ground Support Equipment experience
n
- n
Airside operating experience
n

Requirements nn
- n
Current Australian Driver’s Licence
n
- n
Ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
n
- n
Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing where required
n
- n
Willingness to travel occasionally for planned service work
n
