About the Opportunity
n
Working from our Bathurst branch on Wiradjuri Country, you'll be supported by experienced operators and leaders while developing the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for a long‐term career in transport and resource recovery.
n
Working alongside experienced operators and mentors, you'll learn how to safely operate rear lift collection vehicles servicing Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) customers throughout the local region.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
- Learning to safely operate a rear lift collection vehicle
n
- Completing daily vehicle inspections and safety checks
n
- Collecting recyclable containers from customer locations
n
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
n
- Performing manual handling activities throughout your shift
n
- Following safe work procedures and operational processes
n
- Building practical skills and confidence through structured training
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
You don't need previous truck driving experience.
n
We're looking for people who can demonstrate:

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- A desire to build a long‐term career

To be considered, you must:
n
n
- Hold a current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
n
- Have a minimum of 8 demerit points available on licence
n
- Be able to obtain a Heavy Rigid Licence
n
- Be willing to complete a pre‐employment medical assessment
n
- Be willing to complete drug and alcohol testing
n
- Be comfortable with early morning starts
n
- Be willing to undertake physically active work
n
