Job Description

Our clients located in Cairns and Far North Queensland are looking for Marine Engine Mechanics/Small Engine Mechanics. Must be trade qualified and have relevant work experience.

Duties:

n

n
- Servicing and repairing new and used outboard marine motors
n
- Brand specific knowledge highly desirable - Yamaha
n
- Diagnostics, dismantle and remove engine assemblies, fit-outs and ensuring engine is properly installed on boat.
n
- Ensuring workshop safety maintaining a clean and tidy workstation.
n
- Test drive boats to ensure they meet standards and repairs have been carried out correctly.
n
- Perform services, test and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired
n
- Completion of job card for all duties completed including warranty work
n
- Complete engine rebuilds and installing and replacing of parts Including power heads, connectors and programming trolling and ECMs
n

Requirements:

n

n
- Mechanical Trade Qualification(Outboard, Motorcycle, Small Engine or Automotive considered) preferably Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology.
n
- Minimum 1 year experience is required.
n
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- A valid driver's license and own tools are preferred
n
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
n
- Boat license or Will to Obtain
n
- Understanding of Secure Work Practices
n

These are full time positions with remuneration of $75,000 - $95,000 per annum plus super, depending on experience. Immediate Start.
