We are currently recruiting aClinical Leadto join ourheadspace team in Queanbeyan. In this pivotal role, you will provide clinical oversight, support a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to innovative service delivery that makes a real difference in the lives of young people.
n
What will you do?
n
As Clinical Lead, you'll provide clinical leadership and guidance, ensuring our team delivers high-quality, evidence-based services to young people and their families. You will play a key role in shaping service delivery and maintaining best practice standards.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Clinical Leadership:Provide consultation and expertise to headspace clinicians to ensure exceptional mental health care.
n
- Promote Best Practice:Champion Family Inclusive Practice, Evidence-Informed Practice, and approaches to Alcohol and Other Drug screening, harm reduction, psychoeducation, and brief interventions.
n
- Cultural Safety & Inclusiveness:Foster sociocultural inclusiveness and youth participation in line with the headspace Model Integrity Framework and Marathon Health Cultural Safety Framework.
n
- Collaborative Care:Facilitate multidisciplinary clinical review meetings and care planning for young people accessing headspace services.
n
- Risk Management:Proactively monitor high‐risk clients to ensure quality, evidence‐based care.
n
- Supervision & Support:Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and support to clinicians, support staff, and other headspace team members.
n

Essential Qualifications and Registration
n
To be considered for this role, you must hold one of the following:
n
n
- Psychologist– Full and current registration with AHPRA.
n
- Social Worker– Approved Social Work qualification (Bachelor or Master of Social Work)and:n n
- Completed additional mental health‐specific training or hold endorsement in mental health.
n
- Eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
n
n
- Occupational Therapist– Full and current registration with AHPRAandcompleted additional mental health‐specific training or hold endorsement in mental health.
n
- Division 1 Mental Health Nurse– Completed additional mental health training or have relevant experience in mental health (e.g., postgraduate qualifications in mental health nursing).
n
n
In addition, you will have:
n
n
- Extensive experience and advanced skills in providing holistic mental health care, including working with families.
n
- Demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, including operational and clinical supervision.
n
- A strong understanding of mental health and social and emotional wellbeing (SEWB) care for First Nations young people.
n
n
