Avant Law is seeking a Paralegal to join our Perth team on a 12-month contract, working 0.6 FTE .

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal administrator or paralegal to work alongside specialist medico-legal solicitors and gain exposure to a diverse range of medical indemnity matters.

About the Role n

Working closely with our Perth legal team, you will provide high-quality paralegal and administrative support to our solicitors and contribute to the effective day-to-day operation of Avant Law.

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Supporting solicitors with the management of legal matters and the effective functioning of the Legal team.
n
- Preparing and formatting legal documentation, including briefs and correspondence.
n
- Assisting with court and tribunal filings and liaising with witnesses, experts, court and tribunal staff.
n
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date legal files.
n
- Assisting with the processing of invoices for professional legal services.
n
- Coordinating meetings, appointments and travel arrangements.
n
- Processing accounts payable invoices, monthly billings and Mastercard reconciliations.
n
- Providing general administrative support to the Perth legal team.
n

About You n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Previous experience in a paralegal or administrative role within a legal workplace.
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
n




- Fast and accurate typing skills, including experience with digital dictation.
n
- Experience drafting and formatting legal documentation.
n
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
n
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
n
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
n
- Experience preparing, maintaining and managing legal files.
n
