The Opportunity
n
You'll join the Training Specialist function within this reform program, on a temporary contract basis, playing a hands‐on role in helping people across the organisation understand and adapt to significant change.
n
Working alongside Education Specialists and subject matter experts, you'll plan and deliver training that turns complex legislative and system changes into practical, everyday knowledge.
n
The role can be based in Melbourne or Canberra, with a mix of on-site attendance and remote working available.
n
It's a great opportunity to put your facilitation and instructional design skills to work on a program that touches almost every part of the organisation.

The Role
n
This is a hands‐on training delivery role,
working across both virtual and face‐to‐face formats.
n
As the Training Specialist, you will take ownership of the delivery and coordination of engaging learning activities across a range of audiences and environments.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Delivering instructor‐led training sessions, workshops and briefings to internal staff and stakeholders
n
- Facilitating both virtual and face‐to‐face learning activities, adapting your approach for different audiences
n
- Working closely with subject matter experts to translate legislative, policy and system changes into clear training content
n
- Coordinating training logistics, including scheduling, venue or platform readiness and learner communications
n
- Assessing participant understanding during sessions and adjust your facilitation technique accordingly
n
- Gathering and analysing participant feedback to identify opportunities to improve training delivery
n
- Developing training content and materials across a range of formats for a mixed audience
n
- Reporting to leadership on training participation, engagement and capability outcomes
n
n
The Ideal Person
n
You will be an experienced learning and development or training professional who is equally comfortable in front of a room,
facilitating virtually and working behind the scenes to make sure a learning program lands well.
n
You will bring strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to take complex or highly technical information and turn it into something people can understand and apply.
n
You will be confident working with subject matter experts and stakeholders who have a high level of interest in, and potentially scrutiny of, the subject matter.
n
You will bring sound judgement, robust organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‐moving reform environment.
n
Most importantly, you will be someone who genuinely enjoys helping people build confidence through change.
n
You will take a practical, audience‐focused approach to training and be comfortable adapting your style depending on who is in the room.
n
Experience delivering training within a regulatory reform, government or complex ICT transformation environment will be highly regarded, as will tertiary qualifications in Training and Workplace Assessment or a related discipline.
n

Salary / Rate
n

- $60/hr – $68/hr + Super
n
- 8-month Labour hire with options to extend
n
- Based in Melbourne or Canberra, with flexible on‐site and remote working arrangements
n
- Baseline clearance required
