As PPS continues to grow and expand its client base, we are seeking a Site Manager/Coordinator to join the team here in Brisbane. Most of your time will be spent working onsite in owner's team roles on live, operational sites and managing projects from $50k - $5M. You'll look after the client's interests and manage the subcontractors who come in to deliver packages of construction and upgrade works to their plants.

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Being the client's representative on site, managing subcontractors from mobilisation through to handover
n
- Managing HSE of the works: reviewing HSE paperwork such as SWMS, JHA's, Permit applications etc, making sure subcontractors comply with all the site rules, and attending daily pre-start meetings and SIMOP meetings

- Keeping quality on track: reviewing ITPs, attending inspections and hold points, and making sure you get complete handover documentation
n
- Keeping an eye on the schedule: tracking progress against the programme, coordinating access and shutdowns with operations, and raising delays early
n
- Working with the Project Manager on costs, including checking progress claims,



spotting and assessing variations, and giving accurate information for forecasting
n
- Being the main link between site, operations and the project team, and keeping clear site records and reports
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, Superintendent or Project Engineer
n
- A background in manufacturing, process plant, mining, chemicals or similar
n
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors across civil, SMP and E&I; works
n
- A good working knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation, permit to work systems and working safely around live plant
n
- The confidence to hold subcontractors to account while keeping good working relationships
n
- A sound understanding of contracts, variations and cost control
n
- A trade or technical background, or a construction or engineering qualification, is highly regarded
n
- A current White Card, and valid driver's licence
n
