Reporting to the Project Engineering Lead, you will provide technical leadership across control system design, integration, testing, commissioning and engineering assurance.The role includes both hands-on engineering and technical oversight of consultants and vendors delivering PLC, SCADA and industrial network systems. The primary PLC platform is **Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley**.Experience with hybrid power plants, renewables, BESS, microgrids and diesel or gas generation will be highly regarded.**Benefits:*** Opportunity to be pivotal in the delivery of a land mark Renewable Power Project* Competitive compensation* Safety-focused culture* A range of career development opportunities **What you’ll do as Senior Controls System Engineer :*** Lead the design, review and integration of PLC, SCADA, HMI and industrial network systems using Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley platforms.* Lead, manage and coordinate external control systems consultants, system integrators and vendors, ensuring alignment between PLC, SCADA, industrial network and OEM control system workstreams and driving technical integration across the project.* Provide technical leadership and review of control philosophies, functional specifications,



network architectures and other engineering deliverables.* Coordinate interfaces between control systems and electrical, mechanical, thermal generation, solar, BESS and balance-of-plant systems.* Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting activities to ensure successful project delivery* Ensure control system documentation, software configuration, testing records and handover deliverables are completed to the required standard **You are:*** A degree in Electrical, Control Systems, Automation or Mechatronics Engineering.* Strong experience with Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley PLC systems.* Experience with SCADA, HMI systems and industrial Ethernet networks.* Proven experience developing or reviewing control philosophies and functional specifications.* Experience managing consultants, system integrators or vendor technical deliverables.* Practical FAT, SAT and commissioning experience.* Solid communication skills and a practical, delivery-focused approach.* Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary controls delivery teams and coordinating multiple consultants and vendors on complex industrial or power projects.* Experience with hybrid power plants, renewables, BESS, microgrids and diesel or gas generation will be highly regarded.# **Travel and Site Requirements**This role requires **frequent travel** to vendor facilities and remote project sites for FATs, SATs, integration testing, site inspections and commissioning activities. During key pre-commissioning and commissioning phases, the role will operate on a **2 weeks on / 1 week off site roster**.
