Looking for a part-time kitchen role with great pay, consistent hours, and a supportive team?

Lives Lived Well is seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Hand to join our team at Mirikai, one of Queensland's leading residential alcohol and other drug treatment services.

n

Based in beautiful Burleigh Heads, you'll play an important role in supporting residents on their recovery journey by helping provide nutritious meals in a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

n

Working closely with our Food Services Coordinator, you'll assist with meal preparation, food service, stock management, kitchen cleaning, and food safety while contributing to a positive experience for residents and staff.

About the Role

n

As a Kitchen Hand, you'll support the smooth day-to-day operation of our kitchen by:

n

- Assisting with meal preparation and food service
n
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen
n
- Washing dishes and cleaning kitchen equipment
n
- Receiving and storing deliveries
n
- Monitoring stock levels and rotating stock
n
- Following food safety and hygiene requirements
n
- Supporting residents participating in kitchen activities as part of their recovery program
n
- Working collaboratively with the wider Mirikai team
n

What We're Looking For

n

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

n

n
- Experience in hospitality, catering, cafés,



commercial kitchens or food service environments
n
- Knowledge of food safety and safe food handling practices
n
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
n
- A positive, dependable and proactive attitude
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills
n
- A current Australian Driver Licence
n
- The ability to complete a National Criminal History Check
n

Highly Regarded

n

n
- Food Safety Certificate or similar qualification
n
- Experience working in residential, health, aged care, disability or community service settings
n
- Lived experience of recovery and/or experience in the alcohol and other drug sector
n
