nWe are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer/NDT Technician to work in Perth and regional WA.n
n
nThe role involves carrying out inspections, engineering assessments, audits, and quality verification during the manufacture, refurbishment, and repair of heavy mining equipment, pressure equipment, structural steel, piping systems, engine components, transmission systems, gearboxes, and other mechanical assets.n
n
nKey Responsibilitiesn
nConduct mechanical, welding, fabrication, coating, and quality inspections at client facilities and project sites.n
n
nPerform welding inspections and verify compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), Welder Qualification Tests (WQT/WPQ), engineering drawings, and project specifications.n
n
nCoordinate and witness Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities including Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT/MPI), Penetrant Testing (PT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT).n
n
nPerform Magnetic Particle Testing (MPI) inspections where appropriately certified.n
n
nCarry out coating inspections including surface preparation verification, environmental monitoring, and Dry Film Thickness (DFT) measurements.n
n
nVerify compliance with Australian Standards, ASME Codes, ISO Standards, client specifications, and contractual quality requirements.n
n




nPrepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), technical assessments, and quality documentation.n
n
nConduct dimensional inspections, fit-up inspections, in-process inspections, final inspections, and witness where required.n
n
nReview material certificates, NATA-accredited laboratory reports, NDT reports, coating records, and manufacturing documentation.n
n
nConduct supplier audits and quality system audits in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.n
n
nInvestigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.n
n
nLiaise with clients, fabricators, repair workshops, NATA-accredited laboratories, and project engineers.n
n
nInterpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, fabrication specifications, and engineering standards.n
n
nPrepare professional engineering and inspection reports for client acceptance and regulatory compliance.n
n
nEssential Qualificationsn
nBachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent recognized qualification.n
n
nMinimum four (4) years of experience in QA/QC, welding inspection, fabrication engineering, or quality engineering within the mining, oil & gas, heavy fabrication, structural steel, or industrial sectors.n
n
nCSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification or equivalent.n
n
nPCN Level 2 MPIn
n
nNACE Level 1 Coating Inspector certification or equivalent.n
n
nISO 9001 Internal Auditor qualification.n
n
nCertification in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT/MPI),



with additional NDT qualifications in UT, PT, or VT considered advantageous.n

nCompetitive salary package commensurate with qualifications and experience. n
n$86,667 – $130,000 per yearn
