Technical Infrastructure Project Manager

Milestone IT is currently seeking an experienced Technical Infrastructure Project Manager to join a major retail organisation on a key technology transition program.

n

This is an exciting chance for a hands-on Project Manager with strong infrastructure and end-user technology experience to lead the execution of an established transition plan, supporting the migration of employees onto new corporate systems and services.

n

About the Role

n

You will take ownership of the delivery and coordination of a technical transition program, working across end-user devices, infrastructure, applications and support services.

n

Key responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Managing the end-to-end transition of employees onto new technology environments.
n
- Coordinating laptop setup, provisioning and deployment.
n
- Managing application access and user onboarding.
n
- Overseeing data migration activities.
n
- Coordinating mobile phone/device transitions.
n
- Managing mailbox and email migrations.
n
- Supporting the development and implementation of the ongoing support model and operational handover.
n
- Maintaining project plans, milestones, dependencies and delivery tracking.
n
- Proactively managing project risks, issues and dependencies.
n
- Working closely with technical teams, vendors and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
n
- Providing clear, concise and regular project updates to senior stakeholders, including the CIO and General Manager of Infrastructure.
n




- Getting into the detail when required and taking a hands-on approach to resolving delivery challenges.
n

About You

n

We are looking for a proven Technical Project Manager who haspreviously delivered similar infrastructure, end-user technology, migration or transition projects.

n

You will ideally bring:

n

n
- Demonstrated experience delivering technical infrastructure and/or end-user technology projects.
n
- Previous experience managing technology transitions, migrations or integrations.
n
- Strong understanding of end-user computing, devices, applications, identity/access and infrastructure environments.
n
- Excellent project planning, risk and issue management skills.
n
- The ability to work across both strategic and detailed operational matters.
n
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
n
- Confidence communicating project status, risks and issues to senior executives.
n
- A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams.
n
- The ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced transformation environment.
n
