Job Description
n
STAR Injury Management is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance program across Western Australia. You'll ensure our injury management and return-to-work services consistently meet regulatory, contractual, and best-practice standards — through auditing, monitoring, and reporting that drives real improvement.

This is a hands-on leadership role that blends quality assurance with staff development, customer experience and relationship management support. You'll play a key part in shaping how STAR delivers services and supports its people across WA.
What you'll be doing Quality Assurance n
n
- Manage WA's quality assurance program, including regular audits and monitoring of service delivery.
n
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and SLA requirements.
n
- Review reports, documents and correspondence to maintain the highest service standards.
n
- Conduct checks and file reviews at key milestones.
n
- Recommend and drive projects that support continuous quality improvement.
n
Staff Development nn
- Lead induction and orientation for new STAR Consultants.
n
- Mentor and develop consultants alongside the Development Manager, WA Operations Manager and Team Leaders.
n
- Coordinate and deliver training, and champion a culture of continuous improvement.
n
- Oversee STAR's university partnerships and student placements.
n
Investigations, Complaints & Feedback nn
- Manage STAR's customer feedback process end-to-end.
n
- Investigate and resolve issues as they arise.
n
- Support audits and regulatory inspections.
n
Business / Relationship Development nn
- Support consultants and management in building and maintaining client and referral relationships.
n
- Assist with tenders, quotations and requests for proposals.
n
About you n
You're an experienced allied health or nursing professional with a passion for quality,
compliance and developing high-performing individuals/teams. You'll bring:
n
n
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Exercise Physiology, Registered Nursing, or Chiropractic with current registration (e.g. AHPRA, ESSA).
n
- Minimum 5 years' experience in injury management, including exposure to complex claims.
n
- In-depth knowledge of injury management, return-to-work and workers' compensation schemes.
n
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across regulatory bodies, insurers and partners.
n
- Confident computer skills, including databases, Excel, and reporting tools (SQL/Power BI).
n
- Proven ability to lead and build a high-performing individuals/team.
n
- Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict-management skills.
n
- Resilience and sound judgement under pressure.
