ROLE

Reporting to the Factory Manager, the 2IC will play a key hands-on leadership role in the day-to-day running of the manufacturing site, stepping up and deputising for the Factory Manager as required. This role will have its challenges and we’re looking for someone to step up and drive change.

You'll lead the production and packing teams to keep quality, safety and output on track, and be a big part of building a strong culture on the floor.

Specifically, you will:

- Support the Factory Manager in being fully accountable for the manufacturing operation end-to-end
- Deputise for the Factory Manager in their absence, including decision-making on shift
- Lead and coordinate production and packing teams to keep the site running efficiently




- Troubleshoot line issues to maintain continuous production
- Ensure compliance with OH&S;, GMP, HACCP, Hygiene and Food Safety policies
- Own WHS performance on site, driving down LTIs and incident frequency
- Build a strong team culture, including cross-training and open communication

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE We're after someone with strong food manufacturing experience who is ready to step up into site leadership, or someone already operating at this level who wants to join a growing, high-quality business.

- Proven experience in food manufacturing, ideally in a supervisory or management capacity
- Experience deputising for or leading a team in a manager's absence is highly regarded
- Solid understanding of GMP, HACCP, OH&S; and food safety requirements
- Strong, hands-on leadership style, with the ability to keep a team motivated under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and good numerical ability
